Visual Artist
I grew up in a large, creative family where art-making was simply part of daily life. My mother, a printmaker, papermaker, and sculptor, kept a studio in our home that encouraged curiosity, experimentation, and hands-on exploration. That early immersion shaped my comfort with materials and my love of discovery through the creative process.
Today my work centers around mixed media collage, painting, and printmaking. I’m especially drawn to the interplay of color, texture, and organic forms that emerge through layered compositions.
Much of my work begins on the Gelli plate, where I create hand-printed papers using stencils, stamps, and intuitive mark-making. These textured papers become the foundation for collage and painting. I’m drawn to the unpredictability of the process—each print reveals something unexpected, and intuition guides the composition as the work evolves.
Through repeated forms, organic patterning, and richly layered color, my work explores movement, rhythm, and the unseen energies that flow through the natural world. Many of my pieces reflect the space between what we can see and what we can sense—the subtle currents of life that exist beneath the surface.
My background in music and performance continues to influence how I approach visual art. Rhythm, timing, and presence inform the way compositions unfold, allowing imagery to emerge through a balance of intention and discovery.
For me, art is an evolving conversation between curiosity, intuition, and the materials themselves.
